So, I’m leaving this afternoon for a weekend getaway— another one! I’m so happy. This one involves snow (hence the photo), and lots and lots of lounging around next to fireplaces, watching movies, reading (I’m taking To the Lighthouse and some HPs with me), and having some warm wine in the evenings (navegado, obviamente! Eso está demás decirlo). Too bad it’s only one weekend. But hey, I’ll take anything!

Also, my winter hat is very similar to the one in this movie.

I thought I wouldn’t, but I do. I miss this. Damn you, GRRM. I won’t read anything of you ever again!

I have a cowl just like this one! It’s also mustard yellow, and it’s the toast of the town.

Community, S02E11: Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas

This was by far the most touching moment this season as yet. I couldn’t believe how insightful it was. It was spot-on and perfect. You could glimpse the depth and complexity of Britta’s character, the fragility with which she holds herself together, to keep from bursting from her forced unnaturalness (is that even a word?). My eyes well up whenever I re-watch this scene.

Britta-bot,
programmed badly,
wires with fraying ends.
Functioning mad and sadly,
no faith in herself
or friends.
